## How sponsors and organizers use a prospectus

For a sponsor, the prospectus is the price list. Read the cheapest package against the $2,500 median above, then check who already sponsors: a conference's page on ConferenceDB shows its sponsor and exhibitor list next to the packages. That shows whether companies like yours buy there and come back. [Sponsorship pricing](https://conferencedatabase.com/sponsorship-pricing) has the medians by level and industry.

For an organizer writing one, the figures above are the field: about 6 packages, a top level and a few steps below it, and an exhibit booth when there is a floor. [What each sponsorship level includes](https://conferencedatabase.com/sponsorship-levels) shows the benefits real prospectuses attach to each level, and the [sponsor finder](https://conferencedatabase.com/sponsor-finder) lists the companies that sponsor conferences like yours. To compare the places that publish these lists, see [the best tools to find conference sponsors](https://conferencedatabase.com/best-tools-to-find-conference-sponsors).

A prospectus is not a media kit (ad rates by unit) or a sponsorship proposal (a pitch written for one company). Every list ConferenceDB keeps is on [free sponsor and exhibitor lists](https://conferencedatabase.com/free-sponsor-and-exhibitor-lists).

## How this was counted

A prospectus here is a document an organizer publishes (a PDF, Word file or slide deck) from which ConferenceDB read at least one sponsorship or exhibit package with a price. Each conference counts once, at the latest edition with a prospectus, and the document with the most packages if there were several. Tickets, passes and per-square-foot rates are not counted as packages, and files named as a media kit or advertising rate card are left out.

The documents are matched to conferences automatically. A hand check of 16 on 31 October 2026 found 7 linked to a related document of the same organizer (a foundation, a chapter, a side event, an ad rate card) or to an older edition, so read the figures as what organizer prospectuses hold, not as each conference's own price list. The examples table shows only files that were opened and matched to the event.

Prices in the medians are US-dollar packages only; prospectuses priced in other currencies count in the package and level figures but not in the price medians. Of the 1,619 conferences with a published package price, 1,017 (63%) had at least one read from a prospectus document; the rest come from sponsor web pages.

## Questions

### What is a sponsorship prospectus?

It is the document an event organizer publishes to sell sponsorships: each package, what the sponsor gets with it and what it costs, usually as a PDF. Across the 1,017 conference prospectuses ConferenceDB has read, a typical one lists 6 packages.

### What should a sponsorship prospectus include?

The packages with a price on each, the benefits that come with each one, who attends, and how to book. The level found most often is Gold or Premier, in 63% of the prospectuses read. [See what each sponsorship level includes.](https://conferencedatabase.com/sponsorship-levels)

### What sponsorship levels does a prospectus usually offer?

In the prospectuses read, the most common levels are Gold or Premier (63%), Platinum, Diamond, Title or Presenting (56%), Silver (56%). A title or presenting sponsorship is the top level, sold to one company that puts its name on the event.

### How many sponsorship packages does a prospectus have?

A median of 6; half of the 1,017 prospectuses list between 4 and 9 packages, counting booths and add-ons sold as packages.

### How much do the packages in a prospectus cost?

In US-dollar prospectuses, the cheapest package has a median of $2,500 (802 prospectuses) and the most expensive $20,000 (779 with two or more prices). [See sponsorship prices by level and industry.](https://conferencedatabase.com/sponsorship-pricing)

### Where can I find sponsorship prospectus examples?

The examples table on this page links real prospectuses whose files were opened and checked against the event. Every conference page on ConferenceDB also links the prospectus or sponsor page its prices were read from, next to its sponsor list.

### Is a sponsorship prospectus the same as a media kit?

No. A media kit sells advertising, priced by ad unit (a full page, a banner). A prospectus sells sponsorship packages for an event. Files named as a media kit, advertising packages or a rate card are left out of these figures, though a show that sells ad units as packages inside its prospectus is still counted.
